1. ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY
This intervention is aimed at identifying most at need persons with disabilities (youths), and other vulnerable groups, determine the extent of the need and provide the necessary assistive technology or devices to aid their social-economic interaction. This is an annual program that targets mainly students with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in higher institutions of learning across the country. Some of the assistive devices we distribute include; braille, text to Audio soft-wares, white canes, magnifying lenses, wheelchairs etc
This is one of our core intervention areas. We provide free legal support to persons with disabilities, vulnerable and other defenseless citizens who are either victims of abuse or wrongfully incarcerated and who cannot afford legal services. We do this through our state networks and partner-organizations.
3. HEALTH SYSTEMS STRENGTHENING
We carry out health based advocacy to key stakeholders. Our key focus includes accessible and affordable health care, quality and disability friendly health personnel.
4. LIVELIHOOD SUPPORT
Under this intervention we identify and support vulnerable persons and persons with disabilities with skills and entrepreneurship trainings to enable them earn a living. Our key target beneficiaries under this intervention include women and youths with disabilities and other indigent rural dwellers
5. DISABILITY RIGHTS BASED ADVOCACY
This a cross cutting program through which we carry out disability rights based advocacy using the Discrimination against persons with disabilities Prohibition Act and the UNCRPD as guiding tools
